Nature Note & Activity: Backyard Biodiversity!

​The sun is shining and summer is in full swing… but not everybody is on vacation: The animals in our nature spaces are hard at work searching for food, finding a mate and raising their young! All this activity combined with the nice weather makes July the perfect time for some nature viewing!

To help with your nature viewing, this week’s activity is Backyard Biodiversity Bingo! All you have to do is print out the bingo card (or create your own using the template), post it near a window in your house, and keep your eyes peeled for any wildlife! Whenever you spot something on the card, write your name in the square… Three squares in a row means bingo! Challenge your friends and family to see who can get bingo first!
 
This activity is a fun way to learn about the different creatures that inhabit our neighbour-wood!
